How are you training yourself to write?

I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. I Corinthians 9:27

I don’t always get up to write like I should. Sometimes I’m tired and remain in bed. Other times I’m discouraged and remain in bed because I don’t see any tangible results from my writing labor.

But if I am to win the prize of writing for publication, I cannot randomly choose when I’ll write. For just as an athlete trains his body every day to win his race, I too must train my body to write, even when I don’t feel like doing so.

Aspiring writer, writing is hard work, but if you’ll train your body to do what it takes to write regularly, you won’t find yourself disqualified from the race to write for publication, while others cross the finish line.

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne
