I have fought a good fight. I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.

II Timothy 4:7, NLT

Tomorrow starts the beginning of another year. And though I did not accomplish all that I set out to accomplish this past year, I can say, with confidence, that I remained faithful to my writing calling.

Paul sat in a Roman jail knowing his life was about to end. But as he reflected on his ministry as a preacher and missionary, he wrote to Timothy and told him he was at peace about dying, because he had remained faithful to his call.

Aspiring writer, as another year ends, don’t get discouraged if you did not accomplish all that you set out to accomplish as a Christian writer. Instead, take time to reflect on what you did accomplish this year. If you find that you sought to remain faithful to your writing calling, in spite of the obstacles and challenges you encountered along the way, you can end this year with confidence, knowing that you gave it your all.

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne

Writer’s prayer: Father, thank you for all that I was able to accomplish as a  Christian writer in 2015. I look forward to writing for you in 2016!

Writer to Writer: In what ways did you answer your call as a Christian writer in 2015? Post your comments on my blog. I enjoy hearing from you!
