You can walk on water

“Lord, if it’s you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.” “All right. Come.”   Matthew 14:28, 29, NLT

When Jesus told Peter to walk out on the water to meet him in the middle of the sea, Peter stepped out of the boat and started walking.  But as soon as he looked around at the high waves surrounding him, he was terrified and began to sink.

Aspiring writer, have you recently stepped out of your “boat”  to begin the journey to write for publication? Are your doubts about your ability to walk on the waters of writing for publication causing you to sink in fear?

When you begin the journey to write for publication, expect to encounter the high waves of doubt and fear. When they arise, you may begin to panic because you aren’t sure if you have what it takes to proceed.  But rather than succumbing to the waves of doubt and fear during your journey, determine instead to keep your eyes focused on the one who has told you to proceed. As you continue to look to Him, you’ll find that you can “walk on water.”

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne

Writer’s prayer: Lord, as I step out of my ” boat” to walk on the waters of  writing for  publication, thank you for being there to help me stay afloat.  Amen.

Writer to Writer: Have you recently stepped out on faith to write for publication? Let me hear your story of how God is helping you “walk on water”?  Post your comments on my blog. I enjoy hearing from you!
