It’s possible!

Now glory be to God. By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. Ephesians 3:20, NLT

I awoke this morning with the song Impossible resounding in my head from the Cinderella on Broadway show I saw this past weekend. And I know this song is resounding to remind me that in spite of my unemployment situation, nothing is impossible. For Cinderella had always been told she would never go to the ball to meet the prince because of who she was. But what seemed impossible became possible. Her tattered and cindered dress turned into a beautiful white gown. A yellow pumpkin turned into her golden carriage. And a plain country girl eventually joined a prince in marriage. And if Cinderella’s impossible dream came true, what appears impossible for me to do can come true too. Is it impossible to survive on one income when my household relies on two? Yes. Is it impossible to launch my writing ministry full-time without having the financial resources in place to do so? Yes. But to quote the words of the song sung by Cinderella and her fairy godmother: “The world is full of zanies and fools, who don’t believe in sensible rules. And won’t believe what sensible people say, and because these daft and dewy-eyed dopes, keep building up impossible hopes, impossible things are happening every day.”

Aspiring writer, does your desire to write for publication, at times, seems like an impossible feat to accomplish? Then choose to believe that what seems impossible is possible, and your dream to write for publication may also come true.

Sharing the journey,

Writer’s prayer: Father, I’m so glad to know that nothing I attempt to accomplish, as I seek to write for publication, is impossible with you. Amen.

Writer to Writer: In what ways today will you seek to accomplish what seems impossible for you to do as a Christian writer? Post your comments on my blog. I enjoy hearing from you.
