Thank you Lord

The Lord your God has blessed everything you have done and has watched your every step through the great wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord your God has been with you and provided for your every need so that you lacked nothing. (Deuteronomy 2:7, 29:5)

I love music. And every so often, when I just want to lift up a word of thanks to the Lord for all he has done for me, I sing this simple song: Thank you… Lord. Thank you… Lord. Thank you… Lord. I just want to thank you Lord.

I would hope the people of Israel offered up a similar song to the Lord when Moses reminded them of how God had taken care of them during their forty years in the wilderness. For according to him, God guided watched guided their footsteps through the wilderness and provided for their every need. And that was certainly worthy of thanks.

But the people of Israel aren’t the only ones who need to give thanks. As you reflect on your journey up to this point as you prepared to write for publication and how God has guided your footsteps every step of the way, remember to offer up your word of thanksgiving to the Lord.  In need of a song? Try mine.

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne

Writer’s prayer Thank you, Lord, for all you have done for me while I have been in my wilderness preparing to write for publication.  Amen.
