Do you believe in divine appointments?

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he went deep into the wilderness near Sinai, the mountain of God. Suddenly, the angel of the Lord appeared to Moses as a blazing fire in a bush. Exodus 3:2, NIV

I do.  For after returning from my writer’s conference, I can’t tell you how many times I talked to people who crossed my path and gave me advice about my writing ministry that was exactly what I needed to hear. Whether it was a presenter who stayed after his session ended to give me writing tips, the director of the conference who encouraged me to keep trusting God for the future of my writing ministry, an entrepreneur I met during lunch who gave me feedback on creating my product line, or a budding author who talked with me while we were waiting to catch our flights home on how to market my next book, I thank God for divine appointments.

But divine appointments aren’t just for me. They are for you too as you live out your writing calling.  So the next time someone crosses your path and gives you some information or advice to help you prepare to write for publication, remember it wasn’t by chance that you met them, but a divine appointment.

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne
