Don’t throw it away!

Do not throw away this confidence in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you.  Hebrews 10:35, NLT

I talked with a friend who just returned from France for her fiftieth birthday.  And to top it off, she drove up in a brand new car which was waiting for her when she arrived home.

After exchanging greetings, I got into my car and cried because my friend had received a wonderful material blessing, while mine seemed to have been put on hold.

Aspiring writer, if you decide to downsize your existing career to write for Christian publication,  it may require an adjustment in your income. And some of the material items you’re used to purchasing may have to wait. And you may wonder, at times, if the sacrifice is worth it when you see others blessed with material blessings while yours are put on hold.

But no matter how great the sacrifice you’ve made, don’t throw away your confidence.  For God promises to reward you for your faithfulness as you write for his kingdom. What type of reward can you expect to receive? I don’t know, but whatever it is, it will be great, if you don’t throw away your confidence in the Lord.

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne

Writer’s prayer: Father, no matter how great the sacrifice I make as I prepare to write for publication for the Christian marketplace, may I never lose my confidence in you. Amen.
