But what if he doesn’t?

If we are thrown in to the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. But even if he doesn’t, your majesty can be sure we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statutes you have set up.   Daniel 3:17, 18, NLT

Three Hebrew boys were given the choice to bow down to a foreign God or be thrown into a blazing furnace. When they chose to maintain their allegiance to God and were thrown into the furnace, God sent an angel to deliver them.

God delivered the three Hebrew boys, but he could have chosen to let them die in the blazing furnace. Either way, the boys made a decision to serve God, no matter what happened.

Will you be like the Hebrew boys as you write for publication for the Christian marketplace?  If your manuscript is rejected by a publisher, will you still choose not to give up? If your book is not a best-seller, will you still choose to keep writing anyway? If you receive no financial rewards for your writings, will you still choose to remain faithful to your writing calling?

God has the power to turn you into a successful writer if he chooses to do so.  But if he doesn’t, will you still keep writing for Him?

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne

Writer’s prayer: Father, whether I have succeeded as a Christian writer or not, help me to still keep writing for your kingdom.  Amen.
