Finishing well

I have fought a good fight. I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.  II Timothy 4:7, NLT

While sitting in a Roman prison for the second time, Paul knew the time of his death was near.  But as he reflected on his calling as a minister of Jesus Christ, he could end life with confidence because he had remained faithful to his calling and completed the work God had given him to do.

Christian writer, as another year draws to a close, can you say like Paul that you have completed the work God gave you to do?  Have you fought to guard your writing time?  Have you finished your manuscript? Have you remained faithful to your call as a Christian writer?

The end of a year is always a good time to reflect on your writing goals.  And if you’ve been faithful to your call as a Christian writer, you can end it with confidence knowing you completed the work God gave you to do.

Well done, good and faithful writer. Well done!

Sharing the journey,

Jeaninne

Writer’s prayer:  Lord, as another year ends, thank you for helping me to complete my writing goals. Amen.
