I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who remain in me and I in them will produce much fruit, for apart from me, you can do nothing (John 15:5, NLT).
I’ve hit and missed my quiet time lately with the Lord. On some mornings I’ve awakened late, whereas other mornings I’ve awakened on time, but allowed distractions and other things to interfere with my quiet time.
The apostle John’s illustration of the vine and branch reminds us how important it is to remain connected to God and his Word if we are to be effective writers for the kingdom. As we seek to maintain a relationship with Him on a regular basis through prayer, worship and Bible study, there will be a direct correlation in the writing fruit we produce.
Have you been struggling lately with writing something of value that you’d like to one day share with others? Then take a look to see if you’re still attached to the vine.
Sharing the journey,
Jeaninne
